Joy, illustrated
with color.
A pop art–inspired piece featured in the spring edition of OMAS Magazine.
Celebrating joy through illustration.
Created for the spring edition of OMAS magazine at Murray State University, this piece explores the theme of Joy using bold color, expressive linework, and a playful visual tone rooted in pop art tradition. The illustration embraces the spirit of pop art—bright palettes, stylized forms, and accessible emotion. It was designed to visually uplift and reflect the magazine’s message of optimism and energy.

Expressing emotion through illustration.
This project reminded me of the power of simplicity in communicating feeling. Through color, expression, and composition, I learned how to capture a universal emotion like joy in a way that feels personal and visually engaging—using illustration as a form of celebration.
