Ripped Van Winkle store display

Cannabis,

reimagined.

A gourmet cannabis brand and packaging concept built for clarity, character, and high design.

Joyful, bold, and never gimmicky.

When first meeting the small team behind Ripped Van Winkle, the challenge was clear: create a cannabis brand that felt joyful and original without falling into cliché. The solution was a visual identity that strikes a balance between edgy personality and credible sophistication. The custom logo, color palette, and brand voice are playful, yet grounded—crafted to make the brand stand out with purpose and authenticity.

Elegant, emotional, and shelf-ready.

The packaging for Ripped Van Winkle Edibles needed to do more than just look good—it needed to connect emotionally and build consumer trust. We designed clean, vibrant boxes with bold imagery on both sides to spark interest and communicate product quality. The result: packaging that feels as thoughtfully crafted as the edibles themselves, with clarity and visual rhythm that guides the eye from brand to flavor to function.

From logo to shelf presence.

In addition to packaging, we developed a flexible brand system to carry across storefronts, digital spaces, and product lines. The identity leans into artisanal roots and generational craftsmanship, inspired by the product’s infusion methods and small-batch feel. The overall design is visually rich without ever feeling overwhelming—inviting customers into a full sensory experience.

Playfulness and polish can coexist.

Ripped Van Winkle taught me how to thread joy, clarity, and trust through every layer of a brand. It deepened my understanding of consumer packaging, shelf impact, and the importance of storytelling through visual design. This project was a turning point in my ability to blend strategic thinking with artistic intuition—and one I still look back on as a favorite.
