Bike Vault —
Custom Bicycle Shop Website
Built from the ground up using pure CSS and Adobe Dreamweaver.

Hand-coded from Scratch —
No Templates, No Shortcuts
Bike Vault was more than a design assignment—it was a challenge to build a fully functional, visually engaging website using only HTML and CSS inside Adobe Dreamweaver. Every layout, button, and breakpoint was written line by line, giving me a deeper understanding of structure, styling, and how design comes to life in the browser. This was my first real taste of front-end web development, and it set the tone for how I approach creative problem-solving.
The visual style of Bike Vault was driven by clarity and usability. I chose a minimal aesthetic that still felt energetic—clean lines, bold type, and a subtle use of color to guide users through the site. The brand tone mirrors a small, community-driven bike shop: passionate, approachable, and detail-oriented.
Simple, Clean,
and Rider-Focused

A Website That Moves With You
Using simple motion graphics, the Bike Vault site stays visually active as users explore. A rotating yellow highlight subtly spins around the page title—an abstract nod to a bicycle wheel in motion. This small detail adds energy and reinforces the brand’s identity without overwhelming the user experience. It’s an early example of how I began experimenting with movement to bring static layouts to life.
Project Considerations
Bike Vault was a hands-on university project where I designed and developed a full website for a fictional bicycle shop. From layout to code, every detail was crafted from scratch to reflect a clean, approachable aesthetic with functional navigation and product-forward design. This project gave me early experience in front-end development, responsive layout structuring, and the power of CSS to shape user experience—without relying on templates or builders.
It challenged me to think like both a designer and a developer, blending visual branding with clean, custom-coded structure. The final result is a fully responsive site that captures the energy and simplicity of a modern local bike shop.
